Travel west on HWY 44 until you hit the junction of HWY 385. Turn right and drive north on HWY 385 for 13 miles and turn right on Paha Sapa Rd. Drive the gravel road for 3.5 miles until you reach the Black Hills Retreat Center. Slowly drive through the retreat center. The lodge is the second driveway on the right. Follow the driveway to the lodge.

From downtown Deadwood take 85 south for 2.6 miles. Turn left on HWY 385 and travel south for 10.5 miles. Turn left on Paha Sapa Rd. Drive the gravel road for 3.5 miles until you reach the Black Hills Retreat Center. Slowly drive through the retreat center. The lodge is the second driveway on the right. Follow the driveway to the lodge.

The 3.5 mile gravel road is well maintained in both winter and summer. The driveway to access the Lodge is steep in sections and often rough. Low profile vehicles need to take caution. 4WD or AWD is recommended for winter travel. Motorcycles need to be aware of the gravel road and steep driveway. Contact the host for more information.
